Jim Gaffigan Atlanta reviews
Harrahs needs to add food to its ticket package
Harrahs was not ready for the food and beverage onslaught that happened as a result of a sold out 8pm Jim Gaffigan event. At 6pm, ALL of the table seating venues had waits of 1.5 hours just to get seated. Nothing online told us to pre-make reservations or we would have. So we tried the fast food establishments, the taco truck guy was a 45 minute wait, so we went to the sandwich venue and that was 30 minute line to order and 30 minutes to get a sandwich. Plus there was nowhere to sit and eat it. We had to sit at dirty slot machines because there was literally no where to sit and sorry, but that’s just gross. This impacted everyone going to the show because c’mon, it’s an 8pm show, of course people will want to grab dinner. People were pouring into the theater during the opening act because of this and it was so unfair to the comedian. I’d suggest they add a food package to the ticket and a room dedicated for show patrons to eat it and get us all seated in the theater by 745pm.
Short and no merch
First, let me say that Jim is one of my three favorite comedians! Jim‘s set started off great. Got pretty edgy, which I LOVED! Two thirds in, I noticed some old material. Then he abruptly ended his set after about 45 minutes. With a full hour or so, or an encore, I might not have felt that the show was a rushed after thought, designed to merely to fulfill a missed obligation (it was originally scheduled for November of last year). Where was the merch?!? No Linoleum stuff, no Jim Gaffigan stuff…nada! I am still a big fan, but just a bit disappointed, to be frank. Love Jim and would have loved just a little bit more!
